The centuries of wars, carnage and genocide preceding the 20th century were merely a practice run to perfect our murderous skills before the onset of technology and industry that characterized the 20th century. Indeed, the 20th century saw the mass killing of human beings by other humans on a scale never before seen and with frightening precision and efficiency. In a sense, the Holocaust gave birth to a new world; an informed world keenly aware to the plight of others, whoever they may be, subject to the darkest forces lurking in the interior of men.
