    The truck is made by Belarusian manufacturer Belaz and measures 65ft long by 26ft high.

    The 75710 is no slouch either and can reach speeds of up to 40mph.

    Astronauts face a dangerous enough task just getting into space, so they need to be sure they have state of the art equipment when they finally arrive.

    The SEV from NASA is a space exploration vehicle that allows a two-man crew to complete both in-space missions and surface exploration of a planet.

    The SEV represents a new era in space exploration, offering flexibility and extended mission capabilities that haven't been seen in earlier exploration vehicles.

    The cabin is designed to pivot 360 degrees, can travel up to 10kph on any terrain and even has sleeping and sanitary facilities, allowing the crew members to stay on the vessel for up to 14 days.

    The SEV also features suitports which allow the crew to quickly enter their spacesuits for outside spacewalks.

    The SEV has so far only been tested on earth but NASA are hoping to complete testing in the near future and put the SEV into full production.

    At first sight you could be forgiven for mistaking the AUV Abyss for a high-tech torpedo but the futuristic looking machine is actually an autonomous underwater vehicle.

    The Abyss is designed for marine research and is able to dive to between 2,000 to 6,000 metres to map the ocean floor.

    Its capability to function unattended for extensive periods enables scientists to gather crucial data from depths previously considered inaccessible, potentially transforming our understanding of marine ecosystems.

    The incredible un-manned machine is powered by two lithium-ion batteries and is designed to be programmed onboard a research vessel before being released into the sea.

    The Abyss is equipped with a conductivity, temperature and depth probe, a particle sensor, a sonar system and an electronic still camera.

    Once programmed and released into the sea, the Abyss is able to dive to the bottom of the ocean and scan the sea-bed for an impressive 22 hours.

    Krupp. The Largest Digging Machine in the World

    Just from looking at the Krupp digging machine, it is immediately obvious that this is a serious piece of machinery.

    You will not be surprised to read that the Krupp is the largest digging machine in the world, measuring an impressive 95 metres high and 220 metres long.

    The scale and complexity of the Krupp reflect both the potential and the challenges of large-scale resource extraction.

    The machine is designed for coal mining and is capable of digging a whole the size of a football field, with a depth of 30 metres, in a single day.

    The Krupp can remove 240,000 tons of coal per day, that’s enough to fill 2,400 coal trucks!

    The gigantic machine was built in 1978 and took 5 years to design, at a cost of $100 million.

    At 17 miles (27km) in length, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is not only the largest energy particle accelerator on the planet but also the largest machine in the world.

    The LHC took 10 years to build (1998 – 2008) and is designed to allow the testing of various predictions of high-energy physics.

    While its construction took a decade, the scientific discoveries it enables could fundamentally alter our understanding of the universe.

    The 3.8 metre (12ft) wide tunnel sits between 50 and 125 metres below the Swiss-French border, near Geneva.

    When the project was first completed there were early safety concerns from the public that the LHC could create a black hole effect, but two safety reviews dismissed these fears.

    They stated that the physical conditions and collision events that occur in the LHC also happen regularly and naturally in the universe without any hazardous consequences.
